On this webpage are pictures of my decal making — screen-printing. It's far short of being a detailed description. The equipment are of my own fabrication. My process of printing decals are derived from screen printing basics, as can be found in the numerous books on the subject.
The time, effort, and finances I invested, to learn to do successfully, was costly. It would have been more economical, to continue having my outside professional decal printer, do it. But — the knowledge gained, freedom to design and create my own — now that's priceless.

1. Some basic frame and fabric supplies 2. My home-made screen-fabric stretcher 3. Stretching the screen-fabric prior to glueing.

4. Trimming of the excess fabric after glueing 5. A ready to used print-frame with fabric

1. One of the design "negatives" 2. "Burning" the design on to the screem emulsion 3. Filling and sealing the developed screen emulsion

4. Screen ready to print with

1. Simple screening set-up 2. Got to make sure the ink is mixed well 3. Doing the Squeegee number

4. Black, single color, only one screen needed, easy task 5. Letting the ink dry
Basic screen-printing stuff.
I don't screen a clear over-coat on these "water transfer" decals — I have a unique method of application, which doesn't require it. I'll cover that on the next webpage.
